How to resolve this

If the bio unit accepts enrolment but does not respond to fingerprint scans, it may be configured incorrectly. Follow the steps below to check and correct the settings:

Check if the Unit is Set to Suprema ID (Not Suprema Verify)

Suprema ID allows fingerprint scanning without a PIN.
​Suprema Verify requires a PIN before scanning.

To check the FPR settings for Suprema ID:

  1. Press and hold CLEAR and ENTER together until SETUP HOST IP is displayed.

  2. Press ENTER repeatedly until ATS Setup Mode - Re-Boot is displayed.

  3. Press CLEAR until ATS Setup Mode - Device Setup is displayed.

  4. Press ENTER to view Device Type.

  5. If SUPREMA ID is not displayed, press CLEAR until it appears.

  6. Press ENTER to confirm.

  7. When ATS Setup Mode - Setup Comm Port is displayed, press CLEAR until Re-Boot is shown.

  8. Press ENTER to reboot the device.

To check the FPR settings for Suprema Verify:

  1. Press and hold CLEAR and ENTER together until SETUP HOST IP is displayed.

  2. Press ENTER until ATS Setup Mode - Re-Boot is displayed.

  3. Press CLEAR until ATS Setup Mode - Device Setup is displayed.

  4. Press ENTER to view Device Type.

  5. If SUPREMA VERIFY is not displayed, press CLEAR until it appears.

  6. Press ENTER to confirm.

  7. When ATS Setup Mode - Setup Comm Port is displayed, press CLEAR until Re-Boot is shown.

  8. Press ENTER to reboot the device.


Test the Fingerprint Reader (FPR)

  1. Press and hold CLEAR and ENTER together until SETUP HOST IP is displayed.

  2. Press ENTER until ATS TSD Mode Setup Mode is displayed.

  3. Press CLEAR until ATS TSD Mode Test Mode is displayed.

  4. Press ENTER until Test Mode Reader Test is displayed.

  5. Press F4 to access Test Mode Biometric Test.

  6. Press ENTER and follow the on-screen instructions.

  7. Press CLEAR twice until Test Mode Exit is displayed.

  8. Press ENTER to exit and reboot the device.
