Overview
The Ezitracker mobile app allows cleaners to log in and out of shifts using site-specific QR codes. These QR codes are typically placed in cleaning cupboards or laminated sheets in mobile vans.
Part 1: Registering the Cleaner in Ezitracker
Before starting, ask the cleaner which operating system their phone uses:
iPhone (iOS)
Android
Windows
Steps:
Log into Ezitracker on your computer.
Click the Tools tab (next to the Navigator tab at the top).
Select Smartphones, then click Provision Employees (not "Add").
Find the employee in the list:
Use the Employee Name Search box to filter quickly.
Click Enable next to their name.
In the OS Type dropdown, select the correct phone operating system and click OK.
Note the Employee Reference — you’ll need it in the next step.
Return to the Smartphones sub-tab under Tools.
You’ll see a new entry like
#### -Phoneat the top of the list.Use the Employee Reference to search quickly.
Click Edit next to the entry.
Replace the number in the Phone Name box with the employee’s name.
Click Update.
Scroll right and click Update again to finalise.
Sign out of Ezitracker on your computer.
Part 2: Setting Up the App on the Cleaner’s Phone
Ask the cleaner to download the Ezitracker app from their app store:
Google Play Store (Android/Windows)
Apple App Store (iPhone)
Ensure they:
Accept all app permissions.
Have mobile data turned on or are connected to Wi-Fi.
The app requires an internet connection for initial setup.
On your mobile device (Safari for iPhone, browser for Android/Windows):
Log into Ezitracker.
Go to Tools > Smartphones.
Find the employee’s name and click QR Code next to it.
The QR code will display on your screen.
Zoom in to ensure the QR code fits your screen properly.
Ask the cleaner to scan their personal QR code from your phone.
✅ Alternatively, you can email or print the QR code for them to scan.
Once scanned:
The app is set up.
The cleaner can tap Log In and scan the site QR code to begin their shift.
At the end of the shift, they must re-scan the site QR code to log out.
⚠️Important: The app can be used in offline mode after setup.
However, the cleaner must reconnect to the internet later to sync login/logout data.
If the cleaner gets a new phone or deletes the app, the setup process must be repeated from the beginning.
