Overview
An employee appears to be far outside the geofence zone, despite being at the correct site, if this is what you are seeing then this article can advice you on the next steps.
What to do next
Ezitracker calculates geofence breaches using the GPS location reported by the employee’s mobile device. A large breach (e.g. 4000+ meters) may be caused by inaccurate GPS data sent from the device.
To troubleshoot:
Confirm the Employee’s Location
Ensure the employee is physically at the correct site.Check the Device’s GPS Functionality
Make sure location services are enabled. (if not they have an old version of the app)
Confirm the device has a clear signal (avoid enclosed or underground areas).
Restart the device if needed.

Tap Location
Toggle Use location → ON
✅ 2. Enable High Accuracy (Location Mode)
Depending on your Android version:
Newer Android (10+)

Turn Improve Location Accuracy → ON
Older Android
Tap Location → Mode
Select High accuracy (uses GPS + Wi‑Fi + mobile networks)
On an iPhone, “precise location” is controlled per app through Location Services. Here’s how to enable it:
✅ Turn On Location Services
Open Settings
Tap Privacy & Security
Tap Location Services
Make sure Location Services is turned ON
✅ Enable Precise Location for an App
Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services
