Overview
In employee timesheets, a site is showing as Unknown-[code] instead of the expected site name. This can cause confusion when reviewing time entries.
What causes this?
This issue is usually caused by an incorrect QR code being used to log in or out of the site. When Ezitracker cannot match the QR code to a valid site, it labels the entry as Unknown, followed by the code associated with the QR.
First fix:
Generate a new QR code for the site and ensure it is correctly assigned.
Replace the old QR code at the site with the new one.
Alternative cause (if QR code is not used):
If employees are logging in via phone call instead of a QR code, this issue may be caused by:
An unrecognised phone number is being used
An incorrect site reference was entered during the call
In this case, the entry will appear as Unknown-[site reference].
For example, if the employee enters 123 as the site reference, the timesheet will show Unknown-123.
